"PSAP" stands for Certified Pastoral Sexual Addiction Specialist, a rigorous credential designated by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). This means I don't just throw standard, well-meaning church cliches or spiritualized band-aids at your problem.
Through IITAP's world-class, task-centered training, I look at the objective behavioral data of your loops.
We identify exactly how and why your system is breaking down, and we put highly structured, clinical-grade frameworks into action to disrupt unwanted sexual behavior.

A Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) is a licensed mental health professional—such as a counselor, psychologist, or social worker—with specialized, post-graduate clinical training in treating compulsive sexual behaviors, intimacy disorders, and betrayal trauma.
While both CSATs and PSAPs receive training through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), only CSATs can diagnose mental health conditions, treat unresolved trauma, and conduct formal clinical psychotherapy. You should choose a CSAT over a PSAP when you require formal diagnostic assessment, psychological treatment for underlying trauma or co-occurring mental health conditions.
Many individuals ultimately opt for a collaborative approach, utilizing a CSAT for clinical psychotherapy while engaging a PSAP for spiritual mentorship and faith community support.
Jacob is not a CSAT. To find a CSAT today, check out IITAP’s directory of clinicians. -
Brazen Recovery provides pastoral counseling and strategic recovery coaching.
It is not clinical therapy, mental health counseling or psychiatric treatment. While we highly respect clinical professionals, our scope is action-oriented and peer-led. -
Absolutely not. I am not a savior, I do not have a magic formula and it is not my job to fix you.
If you are looking for a guru to wave a wand and take your struggles away, you are in the wrong place.
I bring the training and credentials, the strategic blueprints, and my own real-life experience of surviving the wreckage.
But you are the one who has to do the work. You get to decide. I will walk with you, hold the line, and tell you the raw truth—but all of this only works if you work it.

If you are expecting a stern principal's office or a somber, tragedy-filled lecture, prepare to be disappointed.
I am kind and highly empathetic because I know the agonizing weight of the secrets you are carrying. But I also love to laugh, and I use humor to connect deeply with my clients. Your healing is a serious matter, but when we can look at the ridiculous, frantic scripts you've been running and actually laugh at them, the shame loses its grip and the isolation completely shatters.
At the same time, don't mistake kindness for passive comfort. Growth in this process is not optional, and I will challenge you. I excel at holding men accountable to the potential God has instilled in them. I won't let you settle for safe, band-aid solutions when you were built for real freedom.
